This error arises because the attendee’s account has not been activated and registered.
Resolution:
Step 1. Navigate to the "Workshop Events" drop-down, select "Check-In Registrants"

Step 2. Confirm that the attendee's account has been created by searching for their information.
Note: If you can find their account, it’s more likely that they haven’t activated it yet. & If you cannot find their account, it’s more likely that they haven’t registered for the event yet.

Step 3. Instruct the attendee to search their inbox (including the spam/junk folder) for their activation/registration email. The email should contain the words “Activation”, “Cisco Security Workshops”, “Account Details”, or "Register for Event".

Step 4. In their activation email, instruct them to select the activation link to complete account activation.

Step 5. After the activation is complete, have the attendee try to sign in again.
